Dog mom and blogger

I’ll be the first to say I am not a writer! So when I started the Long Dog Farm website and it asked me to start a blog post I was taken back!

What might someone look for on a blog? Well I for one enjoy feeling a sense humor, and education. Getting a real life feel for the author. So here we are… blog post number 2. It’s all about the excitement of doing life with my dachshunds. I so lovingly call them my “weens” you may find that from time to time here!

I am so very excited as we near the due date of our first litter of puppies for so many different reasons! One being puppies DUH! But the newness of life, and the snuggles are both things I’ve started to miss since my youngest is now a big ole 2 and half year old who’s all boy, rough and tumble! He was the one who gave us the push to look for our Marlo! I knew my heart would need a snuggle buddy that wouldn’t eventually outgrow me! And if life wasn‘t exciting enough with 4 kids, a global pandemic, major heat wave, and puppies nearing closer- I’ve found the sweetest boy to add to our breeding program!

Mr. Maverick! He is a gorgeous ee cream Long hair! His daddy is a chocolate, and mama is a cream piebald- so the genes he carries will likely hold a beautiful variety! He will become our foundational stud, and what a cutie stud he is already ❤️🐾

So be prepared for more puppy spam in the days and weeks to come! He’ll be joining us around the 24th and we are just over the moon!
